Christmas gifts

These blankets are what I call texture quilts.  I like making those.  they're the perfect size and have lots of different feely fabrics.  I had my friend quilt it.  Not my usually quilter as she's off having a baby.  But the quilting is very fun.  Different shapes in every square.  The John Deer quilt was made for my friend Michelle at work.  She loves John Deer tractors.  It was fun to design each fabric.  I love the minky camo backing.

I made this quilt for Julia (Christian's honey)...she's gone through some stuff and has really identified with Cinderella.  I found some cute fabrics and made some sayings from the new real life movie.

I made this quilt for my friend Heather.  she loves Batman.
All these quilts are texture quilts which means they have some flannels, minkys, corduroy, chenille including cottons within the squares.
8"cut blocks  8x10 blocks..the quilt should end up measuring around 60x75.

Baby Benny's quilt

Sheryl made this quilt for Baby Ben when he was born.  I had it quilted by my friend near me.  She did such a fabulous job!  My favorite is this pebble stitch above.

Minion! Wha????

I knew when I first saw this fabric that it would be gone in a second...luckily for me it was on sale and I purchased enough for this blanket.  But I went back later and got some for my boys should they want one when they have babies...What?!

Brazil quilt sequel...

I've made a couple quilts for special people in Brazil who have gone above and beyond in being so kind to Tyler on his mission in Brazil.
In the process of making Tyler one too to be ready when he comes home in 2 weeks!

Latest ones...these are late presents...shhhh. still a surprise.

Here is my sister's quilt that I wanted to give her for Christmas...but my quilter wouldn't quilt it because she was slammed with others...phhsh gosh I gave her a whole two weeks notice...so I decided not rush on it until she could quilt it.  FYI it is NOT a Christmas quilt...she just likes those colors together. :)  Incidentally, this is Brian's favorite quilt I've ever made.  hehe
Tan minky for the backing and I'm into the rick rack for a border these days...it's for fun.

Here is Miss Krista's quilt.  I felt bad for her when we were all buying fabric to finish all the other kids' quilts and making baby ones...I thought I'd get her in the loop too.  Triangles were hard!  Don't look too close...tons of matchy corner mistakes.  I'll stick to doing regular square, with 2 borders quilts.  Thanks.
Love the binding on this one.  Stripes just makes it!
